The best months to visit Marrakech are February, March, April, October. March-April brings Ourika Valley cherry blossom day trips and Atlas snowmelt filling riad fountains before Ramadan or Chergui heat empties the medina.

July runs the highest averages in Marrakech, with typical daytime highs of 39°C (101°F). July Chergui desert wind pushes 45C; the medina souks close 1-4pm, locals retreat to riad courtyards, and Jemaa el-Fnaa only reawakens at sunset.

January brings the lowest averages, with daytime highs near 20°C (67°F). January nights drop to 5C with no central heating in most riads; pack for indoor cold, and Oukaimeden ski resort two hours away actually has snow.

March typically records the highest monthly rainfall — around 51mm on average. November-March flash rains turn unpaved derbs into red-clay slicks; the palmeraie irrigation ditches overflow and grand taxis cancel to Essaouira.

Marrakech, Morocco has very hot summers, warm winters.
