These months deliver 20–25°C days (68–77°F), that perfect range where the medina's maze of alleys becomes an adventure instead of a survival test.

Each season has its own texture. February is crisp and sometimes rainy — yes, it rains here, about 258mm annually — but the light is clean and the riads are peaceful. March and April bring the real bloom: almond blossoms, gardens waking up, and highs creeping toward 26–27°C (79–81°F) without the crushing heat yet. Crowds build, but it's manageable. October is the underrated gem — everything from spring returns, but with that autumn clarity. Prices drop after the summer tourist surge, and you get 10–11 hours of daily sunshine without the bleached-out intensity of June. The Jemaa el-Fnaa square is actually navigable; the souks don't feel like a fever dream.

Now, the months to skip: July and August are brutal. Highs regularly hit 37–40°C (99–104°F), and it's the kind of dry heat that drains you fast. Businesses close mid-afternoon, water pressure drops, and the crowds are thick because everyone's on summer holiday. September lingers in that sticky zone — still hot, occasional rain clouds that build but rarely break, and no relief yet. Even locals leave if they can.

Looking at 2026 specifically: Morocco's been warming gradually like most places, but Marrakech's desert-edge climate means big daily temperature swings rather than creeping year-round heat. February to April should play out as they usually do — mild, sometimes wet, absolutely worth it. October remains your safest bet for comfort without sacrifice. Plan around those four months and you're not just visiting; you're actually seeing the city.
