April and May feel like someone dialed in the exact temperature your body wanted. Highs hover around 24–26°C (75–79°F), the sea's actually warm enough to swim without flinching, and the light at dawn is that golden-hour quality all day. Crowds are building but haven't exploded yet—you'll still snag decent restaurant tables without booking three weeks ahead. May especially has this energy: everything's blooming, the Turkish Riviera feels alive, and you're not melting by noon. October swings the opposite direction. You get the same warm water and 23–25°C (73–77°F) highs, but the summer crush has evaporated. The light gets softer, prices drop noticeably, and locals have reclaimed their city. It's quieter, more authentic, fewer tour groups clogging Old Town.

Avoid January and December—and I mean really avoid them. December's wet, gray, and feels like someone forgot to tell Antalya it's supposed to be sunny. January's the same, plus it's genuinely cold by Mediterranean standards (highs around 16°C / 61°F). Businesses thin out, ferries get cancelled, and the beach is basically yours because nobody wants to be there. You're not getting that Turkish coast feeling; you're just getting damp.
