The city
§ I
A destination worth the flight.

Park City's high-Rockies climate at 2103 m gives it colder winters than most European resorts of similar altitude. Eleven complete years (2015-2025) show January averaging -6C with the year's driest powder, July at 20C with warm afternoons cooled by altitude. Utah's Wasatch Front produces the greatest snow on earth marketing claim — annual snowfall averages 900+ cm across Park City Mountain and Deer Valley.

January, February, and July form the strongest window. January brings the Sundance Film Festival in the last 10 days — Park City hosts world premieres across Main Street venues with celebrity density peaking mid-festival. February holds peak snow depth and the busiest ski week — Presidents Day weekend maxes out both mountains. July sits at 20C with Deer Valley concerts, mountain biking on Wasatch Crest trails, and Silly Market weekly on Sundays.

April and May are Park City's mud season — the months to skip. April sees ski lifts closing mid-month with hiking trails still snow-buried above 2500 m and Main Street half-shuttered between seasons. May brings similar closures with only 40 percent of restaurants operating and lift service months from summer reopening.

For 2026, book Sundance week (January 22-February 1 provisional) by June 2025 — Main Street condos sell out first. February Presidents Day rates run 4x January mid-week — target early January or early March instead.

By the month
§ IV

Flight prices, month by month.

Estimated round-trip fares from London, based on a 7-day stay. Rule-of-thumb pricing — the cheapest windows tend to be the shoulder months, so a shift of a fortnight can pay for a hotel.

★ June looks like the cheapest month for flights to Park City — often £156 less than the peak. Fares refresh daily; live prices below.
